Q. Can I view the stock without registering?
A. Yes. You don't have to register to view the stock. Feel free to browse the categories in the menu box. You can even add items to your cart but you will need to register when you go to checkout and purchase.
Q. Can I buy without registering?
A. No, we need your details in full to be able to send you your purchases. The information that you provide to DiecastCollectables is solely to enable us to provide a service to you. Please check out our terms and conditions and site features detailed in the "site information" on the right.
Q. Do I have to pay to Register?
A. No, there is no registration charge - you can access the site for free.
Q. Why do I have to give you my email address?
A. Your e-mail address is used as the primary contact method, it also is a unique way for us to identify you.
Q. When I register, I have to select "subscribed" or "unsubscribed". What is this for?
A. If you subscribe you will receive an email notifications and announcements from Diecast Colectables via email, e.g. when new stock is loaded to the site.
Q. How do I change my e-mail address or other personal details
A. Log-in to your account, and click on the "edit account" button.
Q. Can I join without having a credit or debit card?
A. YES! - we accept payment by Direct Credit - direct deposit to our bank account.
Q. I'm having trouble logging in.
A. Check you are entering your e-mail address in correctly - if you continue to have problems please let us know via the contact us page.
Q. I've forgotten my password.
A. You can request your password to be sent to you from the login screen.
Q. What do the different order status types mean?
A. The status will let you know where your order is at in the system.
Pending. - Your order has been received and we are confirming the details/stock at hand.
Processing - If the payment is by credit card, the payment has been processed and we are waiting for the courier to collect your parcel. If payment is by direct credit, we are waiting for either confirmation and/or clearance of your bank deposit.
Delivered - Your package has been sent.
Q. How does the Quick Search Box work?
A. Quick search is very quick and simple. Type is a word or part word into the quick search box on the left hand side of the screen. Then click the 'Quick Find' GO button. You will be shown the search result screen alphabetically listing items that match your criteria.
Q. How does the Advanced Search work?
A. Advanced search allowsyou to search a price range selection and date of loading to be entered to find the exact car you are after. Click on the Advanced Search link on the left hand side of the screen (just below the 'Quick Find' Button). You will now be shown the advanced search screen where you can input your advanced search criteria at the top. Dates can be removed (blank). Then click the GO button. You will be shown the search result screen alphabetically listing items that match your criteria.
Q. Can I resort the stock displayed?
A. Yes. You can re-sort the stock listed by clicking on the column heading, If you want to sort by model number, just click on "model" in the header line. Default is "+" for ascending sort order, click again to change to "-" for decending sort order.
Q. How does the Shopping Cart work?
A. Your shopping cart shows items selected for purchase while browsing. This cart will remain while you move between pages.
Once you have finished browsing click on the shopping cart to view the full details. You can remove an item or adjust the number to be purchased from your cart. Once you are happy with the items selected the press “checkout” to confirm shipping and payment.
Items in your shopping cart will remain until purchased or removed from the cart by you.
Q. What happens to items in my shopping cart when I log out?
A. When you log off we save the items in your cart and these will re-appear when you next log on. However, you will need to confirm availability when you return - items that are no longer in stock will be highlighted in the shopping basket.
Q. How safe is my Credit Card?
A. We encrypt the credit card details that you enter via SSL (secure socket layers) before transmitting them for processing. After a successful transaction, the credit card details are deleted and not stored on our servers

Q. What happens if a purchase does not arrive?
A. Check the order history on-line to see if it has been dispatched to you and the date it was sent. If adequate time has passed for delivery then notify us via email by replying to your order confirmation email. When you notify us we will investigate what has happened to your order.
Q. According to my order history, a purchase has been dispatched to me but I have not received it.
A. You need to let us know if a purchase has not arrived within 7 days. Please let us know immediately by replying to the order confirmation email.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes. The order system will calculate a shipping charge based on local (NZ) shipping. The actual cost of shipping will advised to you via email. The purchase amount will be charged to your credit card in NZ Dollars but will appear on you next credit card bill in your local currency. You need to be sure that you understand the cost of your purchase. Refer to the "shipping" page under site information.
Q. How are the purchases sent?
A. All purchases are sent by courier within New Zealand, in a cardboard box with additional packaging to ensure the goods are protected during delivery.
Q. How long does it take for my purchase to be sent to me?
A. If you pay by Credit Card and the items are in stock then the goods will be shipped within 2 days. If you pay by Direct Credit or Cheque we will send the goods as soon as funds are cleared (generally 5 to 7 days from the date of deposit).
