F1 2025 Wave 3 update - Lawson is in!

What’s happened to the Wave 3 line up on the Fandom page?

We got some great responses following our blog on the new Hot Wheels Formula 1 cars. It’s pretty clear that things have changed since the original lineup for this new 2025 series was announced! Here’s what we know so far...

Lawson is in! According to Fandom, the Wave 3 lineup now features Liam Lawson in the VCARB car #30. This is great news for us Kiwi collectors.

The original product announcement included repeat release of Verstappen and Piastri in Wave 3, but the Fandom wiki is only showing 4 cars:

• MERCEDES-BENZ - Lewis Hamilton

• MERCEDES-BENZ - George Russell

• VCARB - Liam Lawson

• VCARB - Yuki Tsunoda

What’s happened to Verstappen and Piastri? With Hot Wheels now holding the Ferrari rights, will we see a late change to include the scarlet cars after all? And maybe Aston Martin too? We can only hope!
